Senior Computational Biologist
University of Minnesota
Computational biologist interested in the germline predispostion and somatic landscapes of Ewings sarcoma and osteosarcoma as well as other rare childhood cancers. During my career I have analyzed an extremely diverse group of datasets spanning DNA, RNA and epigenetic data with the goal of applying rigorous statistical practices to better understand the underlying biology of pediatric sarcomas. I have deployed a diverse set of analytical tools as guided by the biological questions being addressed. This includes GWAS, variant calling, differential expression analysis, clustering, and association testing. My set of technical skills (Perl, R, MySQL, remote and cloud computing) allows me to tackle complex biological question that can only be addressed using multifaceted dataset and complex algorithms. My focus is to contribute to assay development, creation of informatics pipelines and experiment design in service to the pediatric research community at the University of Minnesota
