Saskia Sydow, MSc

Saskia Sydow is currently a PhD student at Lund University in Sweden. The main focus of her research lies on liposarcomas harboring ring and/or giant marker chromosomes. A subset of these liposarcomas display the capacity to transform into a highly aggressive liposarcoma. However, little is known about this process and the role and origin of the ring chromosomes. Can the risk for malignant transformation and aggressive behaviour already be discerned at diagnosis?
