Dr Perrine Marec-Berard is a Medical oncologist working in the field of paediatric cancer in the French Rhone-Alpes region. She performed Pediatric and Oncology training at University Lyon I. At the completion of her fellowship, she joined the staff of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Leon Berard in Lyon. She is currently the Head of the Institute of Pediatric hemato and oncology (IHOPe) in Lyon, France.
She is implicated in paediatric bone tumour treatment, especially osteosarcomas and Ewing’s sarcomas. She has been the coordinator of the French bone tumours comity of the SFCE (Société Française des cancers de L’Enfant) for 10 years. She is involved in clinical and biological research in the field of bone sarcomas. She is an active member of the SFCE, Euro-Ewing comity, “Groupe sarcome français” (GSF-GETO), Euro-Ewing consortium and FOSTER consortium.
She is the head of an AYA unit in Lyon and the president of the French group Go-AJA.
She is Also expert in pain treatment and has been responsible of the Pain comity of the SFCE for 10 years (Société Française des cancers de l’enfant).
She has been implicated in the publication of over 150 peer-reviewed articles.
