Alessandro Misotti. Dietitian, I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics in 2010 and a Master's Degree in Sciences of Technical-Assistant Health Professions in 2013, both from the University of Milan and with a thesis relating to the oncology field.
From 2011 to 2015 I was a scholarship holder at the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the European Institute of Oncology where I was responsible for the management, collaboration in planning and data collection for projects and studies relating to nutritional support in cancer patients, the development and updating of tools such as questionnaires for measuring eating habits and food composition databases.
From 2015 to 2021 I worked as a Dietitian at the Dietology and Clinical Nutrition Service of the ASST Melegnano and Martesana where I dealt with the outpatient and inpatient management of patients with oncological diseases for nutritional support, nutritional counseling, combating malnutrition , management and monitoring of Artificial Nutrition.
Since November 2021 I have been working as a Dietitian at the Clinical Nutrition Service of the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori of Milan where I deal with the evaluation of nutritional status and nutritional support for patients belonging to the Institute on an inpatient or outpatient basis.
I am a contract professor at the University of Milan for the Degree Course in Dietetics and at the University of Pavia for the Master in Nutritional Counseling for lifestyle modification. I am the author or co-author of scientific publications, I have presented numerous abstracts and posters at national and international conferences. I have been Educational Coordinator for Lombardy of the Italian Society of Artificial Nutrition and Metabolism (SINPE) since 2016.
