Because the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal cancers has dramatically changed in the past several years, his research interests include how to incorporate biotechnology, bioinformatics, molecular analyses and pharmacogenomic data in the setting of prospective clinical trials -with the results of better identifying patients who will benefit from chemotherapy, avoiding toxicities from treatment, and developing a predictive therapeutic strategy unique to a patient's disease.
