Supraja Narasimhan is a clinical research scientist by profession and currently works at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, Waltham, MA as an Associate Director, Clinical Scientist. Supraja has published in journals including Clinical Cancer Research, Transgender health, International Journal of Molecular Sciences and Molecular Pharmacology. Supraja’s work has also been published in several abstracts and posters presented at Congresses including ASCO GI symposium, AACR, ESMO, CTOS, and EMSOS. She has also published a book chapter in Clinics in Plastic Surgery.
Supraja has experience conducting clinical trials (phase I to III) across a diverse group of disease indications in oncology and the autoimmune disease space. Supraja is passionate about learning and being involved in all aspects of drug development where the final goal is to bring novel therapies to patients who benefit tremendously from such advances. Supraja’s area of interest are development and execution of clinical trials and developing the strategy involved in bringing a drug to market. Supraja received her doctoral degree in Pathology, program in Cell and Molecular biology from Boston University where her doctoral thesis focused on understanding the role of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor in breast cancer progression.
On the personal side, Supraja takes keen interest in animal welfare and when possible, volunteers at a local animal shelter. She is also a student of Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form.
