Assistant Professor
Children's Hospital Colorado
Dr. Masanori Hayashi is a pediatric oncologist physician scientist at the University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital Colorado leading a translationally focused laboratory research program in childhood sarcomas. His laboratory has been focused on the identification of novel anti-metastasis targets for sarcomas. Combined with his expertise in developing novel blood tests of minimal residual disease through detection of circulating tumor DNA, his laboratory aims to change the current treatment paradigm by detecting metastasis early and treating metastasis differently to improve the cure rates of sarcomas. Dr. Hayashi is a graduate of Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo and completed his pediatric residency training at Duke University, followed by his pediatric hematology/oncology training at the joint program of Johns Hopkins University and the National Cancer Institute.
