Dr. Makoto Hirata is a Chief of Department of Genetic Medicine and Services at National Cancer Center Hospital and a distinguished hereditary oncology specialist with 8 years of experience. As a researcher of cancer genomics and a board-certified clinical geneticist, he combines expertise in both fields to provide personalized care to individuals and families at risk of hereditary cancers. He earned his medical degree from Faculty of Medicine, University of Tokyo, and holds a Ph.D. in medical sciences from Graduate school of Medicine, University of Tokyo.
