Cancer is a complex disease that involves the dysregulation of multiple genes and pathways in a cell. While some cancers are known to be driven by specific genetic alterations, it is increasingly recognized that a more comprehensive understanding of the genetic landscape of cancer will require looking for and targeting broad, multi-gene signatures. My research aims to identify these broad, single-cell, multi-omic signatures of tumor behavior using a mathematical infrastructure inspired by statistical physics and machine learning.
