Daniel S. Lefler, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania's Abramson Cancer Center. He attended medical school at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University before completing his training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (residency in Internal Medicine) and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (fellowship in Hematology and Oncology). His clinical and research focus is sarcomas, with particular interests in molecular drivers of disease, targeted therapies, and early phase clinical trials. He also has a passion for medical education, having previously served as Chief Resident for Penn's Internal Medicine residency program and now as an Assistant Program Director of Penn's Hematology and Oncology fellowship program.
