Pete Hendrickson is a fourth-year resident at Duke University in the Department of Radiation Oncology. He is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine MD-PhD training program in 2019. He completed his graduate school work at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in the laboratory of Dr. Brad Cairns where his work helped define the role for DUX4 as a master regulator of embryonic genome activation and embryonic reprogramming. Pete is currently on the ABR Holman Pathway and is working under the mentorship of Dr. David Kirsch to investigate disease mechanisms and novel epigenetic-based therapies for CIC-DUX4 fusion gene positive sarcomas.
