I am a pediatric oncologist focused on the care of children, adolescents and young adults with relapsed and refractory solid tumors with a particular focus on neuroblastoma. I am a clinical researcher focused on translating targeted therapies from well-validated preclinical studies to early phase clinical trials for young people with solid tumors. My current work centers around the use of immunotherapies like chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells and immune checkpoint inhibitors to treat relapsed and refractory solid tumors with the goal of finding more targeted, less toxic ways to treat these difficult diseases.
