CEO
Sarkomer, Norway
My professional background in marketing and management has been acquired through a Bachelor in Business Administration from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia with a subsequent Master in International Marketing from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, USA. In addition, I have recently updated and expanded my knowledge by completing a Bachelor in Media & Communication at Universitetet i Bergen in Bergen, Norway. I am now in a full-time position as CEO for the Norwegian patient association Melanomforeningen, which is skin cancer. At the time of my participation in this project however, I was in a full-time position as the CEO for the Norwegian patient association Sarkomer, which portrays to Sarcoma cancers. It was during my time at Sarkomer that I participated in this project as co-author for the Norwegian translation of the bone sarcoma survey.
In the earlier days of my professional career, I have held various positions as General Manager, Project Manager, Marketing Coordinator, Community Manager and Executive Assistant for various companies in San Francisco and Norway. The majority of the companies that I have worked for have either been start-ups or non-profits. Being part of the development, growth and the process of creating new solutions for organizations, while at the same time helping people, is something that appeals to me. As a result of this, I have gained a varied professional background, where marketing and community management- and growth, have always been key focus areas.
