Dr. Federica Perrone, Senior researcher, molecular biologist, Department of Diagnostic Innovation, INT. Since 1997 she has been involved in molecular diagnostic activity and comprehensive genomic profiling of solid tumors aimed at identifying predictive and prognostic biomarkers. She has a well-documented extensive experience on NGS data analysis. She is the author or co-author of about 100 manuscripts in international journals.

Research experience
- 2010-present: Staff investigator in the Laboratory of Molecular Pathology, Department of Diagnostic Innovation of the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan. Coordinator of molecular diagnostic activity aimed to ensuring more effective treatments of lung and colorectal adenocarcinoma, melanoma, HNSCC and sarcoma. Coordination of Translational research projects aimed to improve the diagnosis/prognosis and to define predictive biomarkers or therapeutic targets to apply more personalized treatments solid tumors.
-1998-2010. Temporary position in the Laboratory of Molecular Pathology, Department of Pathology of the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan. Main activity: translational research: coordination of projects involving molecular and biochemical analysis of oncogenes and tumours suppressor genes in soft tissue sarcomas, colorectal adenocarcinomas and HNSCC. Diagnostic activity: molecular characterization of biomarkers for targeted treatments of solid tumors.
