Postdoctoral Associate Research Scientist
Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Italy
I am a young scientist interested in the field of oncology, specifically in the study of cancer therapies. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Health Biotechnology from University of Padua (Italy) in 2010 and the Master degree in Medical Biotechnology from University of Milan (Italy) in 2012. In 2019, I obtained the PhD in School of Life, Health and Chemical Sciences (Open University, Milton Keynes, UK). During my PhD I spent 1 year and a half in Regenerative Medicine laboratory at the Houston Methodist Research Institute in Texas, USA. Here I acquired expierience in nanoparticles handling for drug delivery. I have been working at the Molecular Pharmacology Unit of Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori of Milano under Dr. Nadia Zaffaroni supervision since 2012. I collaborate to several projects, in particular, I study mechanisms of drug resistance in several types of cancer and I contribute to rational design of drug combinations aimed at counteracting the chemoresistance.
