Medical Oncologist
University of Toronto, Canada
I earned my medical degree from the Austral University of Chile, my birthplace. Subsequently, I completed my internal medicine and medical oncology residencies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where I joined the medical oncology team and dedicated three years before relocating to Toronto.
In Toronto, I completed a 2-year fellowship in melanoma and other skin malignancies at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Currently, I hold the position of clinical and research sarcoma fellow at both the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital. These fellowships are postgraduate programs affiliated with the University of Toronto.
Upon the conclusion of my fellowship, my plan is to return to Chile, where I hold a position as Assistant Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica. My goal is to enhance the availability of novel therapies and improve the outcomes of both skin cancer and sarcoma patients in Chile, where I’m committed to bridging the gap between global advancements and local healthcare.
