PhD Candidate
LUMC, Netherlands
Hello, I am Debora Meijer, a dedicated 4th-year PhD student at LUMC Leiden. My research revolves around bone sarcomas, mostly osteosarcomas and chondrosarcomas. My primary focus is the analysis of genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenomics data to unravel the genetic intricacies of these malignancies.
Within the research community at LUMC, I am part of three different groups: the Bone and Soft Tissue Tumor Group (Prof.dr. Judith Bovée), the Cancer Immunogenomics Group (Dr. Noel de Miranda), and the Kuijjer Group (Dr. Marieke Kuijjer). This multidisciplinary collaboration allows me to integrate insights from various fields and apply them to the study of sarcomas.
My overarching goal is to bridge the gap between complex biological data and clinical applications. By deciphering the genomic landscape of sarcomas, I aim to contribute to improved diagnostics and more effective treatment strategies for patients facing these challenging diseases.
