Dr. De Mattos is an orthopaedic oncology surgeon who specializes in the care for pediatric and adult patients with benign and malignant soft tissue and bone tumors.
After orthopaedic residency in Brazil, Dr. De Mattos completed a research fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PA, USA, a surgical fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, OR, USA and a surgical fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC, USA. She is currently part of the orthopaedic oncology department at the Skåne University Hospital, affiliated with the University of Lund and Malmö, Sweden, where she lives since 2018.
She is the founder and first president of AMOB, the Association of Women in Orthopaedics of Brazil and a founding member of Women of Orthopaedics Worldwide (WOW).
