I'm a senior postdoctoral researcher (Sara Borrell Fellowship) in the group of advanced therapies and biomarkers in sarcomas (ATBSarc), at the Research Health Institute of the Fundación Jimenez Diaz, since 2021. Over the past years I have developed various skills and accumulated experience in molecular and cellular biology, which have been applied to preclinical and translational research in sarcomas. As a postdoctoral researcher, I have been training several young scientific researchers, some of them currently doing their doctoral thesis. My current research covers many different areas, from the development of new therapies to the description of prognostic and/or predictive biomarkers in sarcomas, the study of cell signaling pathways involved in sarcomas, and the role of the tumor microenvironment in the tumorigenic process and in the response to treatment. I'm the principal translational investigator in several academic clinical trials from the Spanish Group for Research in Sarcoma (GEIS) and the PI of preclinical projects in specific sarccoma histologies, such as angiosarcoma. I have published several scientific articles as first author or co-author, and I participated regularly in national and international conferences with oral and/or poster presentations. I'm a natural communicator and I'm able to develop, guide and execute the projects in which I'm participating.
