Julia Nomikos is an PhD candidate at the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto. She completed her B.Sc in Honours Life Science at McMaster University in 2021 and is currently working in the Gladdy Lab at the Lunenfeld Tanenbaum Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital (Toronto, Canada). She is interested in rhabdomyosarcoma and its immunotherapeutic and drug targets. Her current project involves assessing the effect of tumour targetted hyperthermia via magnetic resonance guided high intensity focused ultrasound (MRgHIFU) in combination with chemotherapy on tumour immune infiltrate in a mouse model of rhabdomyosarcoma. Concurrently, Julia is also studying MYOD1 L122R mutant rhabdomyosarcoma.
