Bruno Vincenzi is a medical oncologist and associate professor in Oncology at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. He has consolidated clinical and translational research experience in the field of rare tumors and collaborates with important national and international reference centers. His research activity is mainly focused on the genetic and molecular characterization of rare neoplasms with particular attention to the study of soft tissue sarcomas and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). Prof. Vincenzi coordinates several research projects aimed at identifying new factors predictive of efficacy of chemotherapy treatments and new biomarkers involved in resistance to anticancer therapies in patients affected by rare tumors. He is also an active member of the EORTC (European Organization for Research and Treatment of Soft Tissue Cancer and Bone Sarcomas) and of the board of directors of the ISG (Italian Sarcoma Group) and coordinates several multicenter clinical trials on patients suffering from rare tumors. He is co-author of 478 publications in international scientific journals of medium/high impact factor (h-index 59, number of citations 14806 from Scopus).
