Galen Rask is a Senior Research Associate in the Center for Childhood Cancer at The Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Galen earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Swarthmore College and his M.S. in Molecular Genetics from the Ohio State University. There he studied in the lab of Dr. Anna Dobritsa, focusing on the formation of the pollen cell wall in plants, called exine. Galen has spent the last few years studying Ewing sarcoma in the lab of Dr. Emily Theisen with a specific focus in expanding our knowledge into other FET-rearranged sarcomas.
