Dr. MacQuarrie is a pediatric oncologist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. MacQuarrie did his M.D. and Ph.D. at the University of Washington and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle before joining the Physician Scientist Training Program in Pediatrics at Lurie Children's Hospital. Dr. MacQuarrie joined the faculty at Feinberg School of Medicine in 2020. Dr. MacQuarrie's research interests focus on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms present in pediatric tumors that drive their development and aberrant biology. His current work investigates the relationship between the organization of the cell nucleus and the biology of pediatric rhabdomyosarcoma.
