Dr. Marie Barnett is an Assistant Attending Psychologist in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatric at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer (MSK) in New York, NY USA. Her clinical care and research primarily focus on the psychosocial care and mental health treatment and intervention of AYAs. Dr. Barnett has served on the American Psychosocial Oncology Society’s (APOS) Board as the Director of Communications, as well as the Pediatric and AYA Special Interest Group Co-chair. She has served on the NCCN Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Panel since 2020, participating in revisions to the NCCN guidelines for AYAs. In addition to developing a PRO for AYAs during cancer care, she is the site-PI on a multi-site R37 “Bright IDEAS” problem solving intervention at MSK adapted for young adults recently diagnosed with cancer.
