Dr. Blomain is a physician scientist and faculty member in radiation oncology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia PA, USA.
Born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Dr. Blomain completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, graduating cum laude, before completing his dual MD/PhD degrees at Thomas Jefferson University. He went on to complete radiation oncology residency at Stanford University, where he also completed a "fast track" Holman Pathway post-doctoral fellowship before returning as faculty to his medical school alma mater. Throughout his training, Erik has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards including an NIH/NCI F30 fellowship, a Stanford Cancer Center Clinical Innovation Award, and an RSNA resident research award.
Currently, Dr. Blomain's research interests include tumor evolution, multi-omics, cell biology, computational biology, and mechanisms of radioresistance in both sarcoma and other tumor types.
