Brian O’Sullivan is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Department of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto, Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) Toronto, Canada. He is also a member of the Department of Radiation Oncology, Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), University of Montreal. He graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland in 1976, and completed a fellowship in medical oncology, and a residency and clinical fellowship in radiation oncology, all at PMH.
His career over more than 3 decades has been dedicated to academic activity in Head and Neck and Sarcoma Oncology and to the treatment of patients with these diseases. He has more than 470 peer-reviewed, and written or edited 12 oncology textbooks.
He has held numerous national and international leadership positions throughout his career in the area of Head and Neck and Sarcoma, including Past President of CTOS in 2000.
His professional honours are numerous but among others include the Gold Medal of The Juan A del Regato Foundation; the Award of Honor for the Annual Oration in Radiation Oncology of RSNA; and the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Gold Medal.
