I am a Professor and Clinician Researcher in the Department of Oncology with cross appointments in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery and Department of Surgery (Division of Urology) at the University of Western Ontario. I have worked as a consultant Medical Oncologist in London since 1996. I completed medical school at the University of Alberta, training in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto, and training in Medical Oncology at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. I also completed a Master’s degree in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University. In my clinical practice, I am recognized as a national expert in drug therapy for genitourinary and head and neck cancers. Previous roles have included: Program Director of the Medical Oncology Postgraduate Training Program, Medical Director of the Clinical Cancer Research Unit, Subcontractor for the PMH Phase 2 Consortium, and Lead for the Lawson Translational Cancer Research Program of the OICR High Impact Clinical Trials Program for the London site. In 2013 I received the Dean’s Award of Excellence from the University of Western Ontario.
