After graduating from the University of Insubria Varese - Como, Fabio trained in general surgery, working in various centres across Italy and the UK. His primary interest lies in sarcoma, for which he trained at Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan, and HPB and liver transplant surgery, for which he trained at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Having completed his training, Fabio undertook fellowships in sarcoma at major cancer centres at the Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Marsden in London. He is now working as a consultant surgeon in the Sarcoma Unit in Birmingham, UK.
