Head of the Unit of Biostatistics for Clinical research, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (INT), Milan, Italy. Her main activities are: research, statistical consulting, teaching, quality system development and maintenance. She is participating as responsible statistician in different clinical trials and research project as INT. She in involved in research projects planning (study design; statistical analyses planning; protocol writing and revision); clinical trial planning (study design; statistical analyses planning; protocol writing and revision); statistical-methodological research; consulting in statistical analysis and scientific manuscript writing; statistical analysis of data gathered in diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic Institutional studies and writing of related scientific manuscripts. She is head of the “Research quality and Integrity” INT working group aimed at training the researchers and promoting quality, trustworthiness and reproducibility of the research. She is the INT responsible for the Gender Medicine Project at the Italian Ministry of Health and PI of the project “Gender difference in side effects of immunotherapy: a possible clue to optimize cancer treatment”, funded from European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 741874). She is currently leading the WP14 “Promoting patient participation in innovative research” within the “Building Data Rich Clinical Trials” project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 and aimed at creating innovative research methods for cancer patients. She is one of the founders of the working group “OncoGender. Promoting Inclusion in Oncology”, involving researchers from INT and other Italian research Institutions; OncoGender projects are led by INT and by the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM). She is auditor for the OECI Accreditation and Designation Programme. She is teaching as Contract Professor of Medical Statistics at Faculty of Nursing, University of Milan. She is co-author of more than 220 publications on peer reviewed scientific journals. Her H-index is 63.
