Dr. Lee is Professor of Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where he holds the DiMarco Family Endowed Chair in Cell Based Therapy and serves as the Director of the Cellular Therapy and Cancer Immunotherapy Program. He is a bone marrow transplant physician and conducts clinical and translational research on natural killer (NK) cells and cancer immunotherapy, including genetic and non-genetic methods to enhance NK cell function against cancer. His work resulted in a novel approach to generating highly potent NK cells that have been infused into hundreds of adult and pediatric patients with leukemia, brain tumors, and solid tumors. Dr. Lee has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers and book chapter, patents and commercial licenses, and has directly mentored 11 graduate students, 15 postdoctoral fellows, and over 3 dozen college and medical students in his laboratory.
