Jessica L. Davis, M.D., is the Centinel Professor and Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology at Indiana University(IU) School of Medicine. Dr. Davis received her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and subsequently completed training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). While at UCSF, she also completed a surgical pathology fellowship with an emphasis on bone and soft tissue pathology. Dr. Davis then joined Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of Washington for a pediatric pathology fellowship before returning to UCSF as Assistant Professor. She was later recruited to OHSU to lead the pediatric and bone and soft tissue pathology divisions and served as their Director of Surgical Pathology before moving to IU. Dr. Davis serves the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) as a central pathology reviewer for non-rhabdomyosarcoma soft tissue sarcomas (NRSTS) and bone sarcomas and is on the steering committee for bone tumors. Dr. Davis is an active member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) and the Society for Pediatric Pathology (SPP), where she serves on committees and reviews scientific abstracts. She is the pediatric representative to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Cancer Committee, which helped propel her interest into large scale systems/data standardization and data harmonization efforts.
