Assistant Professor Valerie Yang is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Department of Lymphoma and Sarcoma of the National Cancer Centre Singapore. She is jointly appointed at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR, where she leads the Translational Precision Oncology Laboratory. She leads the Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium’s national project that investigates the spatial immune microenvironment of anthracycline-resistant soft tissue sarcomas. She is a National Science Scholar (A*STAR), a graduand of the MB/PhD program at the University of Cambridge, and winner of multiple national and international grant awards, including the National Medical Research Council Transition Award in 2021, the National Medical Research Council Clinician Scientist New Investigator Grant in 2022, the Terry Fox International Grant in 2022 and several others, for her work in Sarcomas.
