Heidi Maria Namløs, PhD, is a scientist with more than 15 years of research experience in the field of molecular analysis of cancer, with a main focus on genetics of bone and soft-tissue sarcomas. After finishing her PhD degree in Cancer Genomics at the University of Oslo, Norway, the research has been focused towards personalized treatment of cancer patients. For many years, she has been working close with the genomics Core Facility at Oslo University Hospital to establish new high-throughput methodologies for targeted sequencing of various cancers and for use on different sample sources. Over the past years, she has been heading projects on liquid biopsies in sarcomas and GIST particularly, with monitoring of ctDNA levels over time and during treatment. Heidi Maria Namløs is also involved in additional projects in GIST, focusing on drug resistance and tumour evolution by use of single-cells, spatial transcriptomics and lineage tracing.
