Ilaria De Benedictis is a PhD student in the Unit of Oncogenetics and Functional Oncogenomics at the National Cancer Institute CRO Aviano, Italy. She received her master’s degree in Medical Biotechnologies at the University of Naples, Italy. Her research interests are in the field of oncology. In particular, she is interested in the molecular mechanisms associated with cancer aggressiveness. Her current project focuses on the mechanisms of tumor spreading in ultra-rare fusion-driven vascular tumors using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques.
