Elisabet Martínez Téllez graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2001. She completed her specialized health training via MIR in Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, finishing in 2008. During his
residency he participated in competitive studies with grants from SEPAR and ISCIII as a collaborator, helping in the processing of samples as well as in the analysis and collection of data. She has completed the PhD program in Surgery and Morphological sciences presenting his doctoral thesis work "STUDY OF PRONOSTIC FACTORS OF PULMONARY METASTASIS OF SARCOMA" in the year 2022.
Throughout her career she has actively participated as principal investigator or collaborator in different competitive grant projects. The lines of research focus on tracheal pathology, thoracic oncology with staging and treatment of lung cancer, and advances in minimally invasive surgery in lung cancer, presenting several papers at national and international conferences, as well as publications.
She has been a member of the scientific committee of the Spanish Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery for three years..She combines her activity as coordinator of the Thoracic Surgery Department, as a researcher at the Sant Pau Biomedical Research Institute and as a teacher, tutoring residents , as well as being an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and professor of different university Masters.
