Hello,
My name is Masoumeh Aghababazadeh. I am in the 4th year of my Ph.D. in Human Genetics at McGill University. I am working under the supervision of Dr. Livia Garzia and my project focuses on CIC-DUX4 sarcoma. It is a rare type of sarcoma affecting mostly young adults with poor prognosis. It is poorly studied with no targeted therapy for these patients. I am happy for the chance to be able to work on this type of cancer to find new therapeutic targets to overcome the resistance of the tumors to current chemotherapy and prevent metastatic dissemination.
