Peter Grimison is currently Senior Staff Specialist in Medical Oncology at the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse in Sydney; Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital; and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney.
His clinical work focuses on sarcoma, testicular cancer, and neuroendocirine tumours, . He is involved as study chair, lead ANZ investigator, trial management committee member, and site principal investigator in several national and international trials for the Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group, whose coordinating centre is based at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre of the University of Sydney. He is study chair for the world's largest trial of medicinal cannabis for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, which is funded by NSW Health. He is also involved as an active member and site Principal Investigator in clinical trials for the Australia New Zealand Sarcoma Association; and site Principal Investigator for industry sponsored clinical trials. He serves as a member of the Australian Government Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee, a number of other Federal and NSW Government committees, and the editorial board of Annals of Oncology. He is also committed to teaching as Directorof Physician Training at the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse, and also actively teaches in Basic Physician Training and the University of Sydney Medical Program.
