Dr. Cristian D. Valenzuela is a Chilean-American surgeon, born and raised in the New York City area. A desire to serve the less fortunate led him to pursue his surgical residency at a New York City public hospital in Spanish Harlem. He also has a passion for basic science research, which led him to pursue laboratory projects focused on blood vessel and tissue development at Brigham & Women's Hospital. After completing his General Surgery residency, he completed Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He then joined the surgical staff at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. His surgical focus primarily includes treatment of melanoma and sarcoma.
