Kathrin is the Executive Director of Sarcoma Patient Advocacy Global Network e.V./Assoc. (SPAGN).
Sarcoma Patient Advocacy Global Network (SPAGN) is the global network of national Sarcoma Patient Advocacy Organizations. Today, more than 60 member groups from 5 continents gather under the umbrella of SPAGN, providing a common, international and influential patient voice for sarcoma patients around the globe. SPAGN is working to improve the treatment and care of sarcoma patients through information and support, and by increasing the visibility of sarcoma with policymakers and the public.
Kathrin has a background in communications: She studied “Communications and Marketing” in Stuttgart, Germany and has worked in healthcare communications for 12 years before joining SPAGN (formerly known as Sarcoma Patients EuroNet / SPAEN) in 2015.
As Executive Director, she’s responsible for running SPAGN in close collaboration with the voluntary Board of Directors and a small team of staff, freelancers and further volunteers.
