Dr. Valenzuela is an Assistant Professor in MSK Imaging and a radiologist dedicated to Oncologic Skeletal Imaging as part of Houston's MD Anderson Cancer Center Radiology staff.
His work focused on Sarcoma Imaging and Advanced Bone and Soft Tissue Tumor imaging, with emphasis on DWI, PWI, SWI, and Dixon Imaging.
Dr. Valenzuela is a Cross-Trained radiologist with fellowships in MRI, Head and Neck oncologic imaging, Neuroradiology, Functional Neuroradiology, Oncologic Body Imaging, and Oncologic MSK Imaging. He is the chief of MRI in the MSK department. He leads the research in MSK Oncology Radiomics, codirecting the ABASTI imaging lab, which primarily serves the clinical and research needs of the General and Surgical sarcoma Groups in MDA.
