Gloria Marquina is medical oncologist at the Gynecological Tumors, Sarcomas, Thyroid Cancer and Tumors of Unknown Origin Unit at the Hospital Clinico San Carlos, a national reference center (CSUR) for sarcomas and a European reference center (ERN-EURACAN) for sarcomas and rare gynecological tumors. She is a member of scientific societies and cooperative groups, both national and international, of the pathologies to which she dedicates patient care, as well as a member of the executive committees of EOTTD (European Organization for the Treatment of Trophoblastic Diseases) and EORTC-STBSG (EORTC sarcoma group). Other issues to highlight: in gynecological tumors, she has promoted the GEICO Spanish registry of gestational trophoblastic disease, is a representative of EORTC-GCG (gynecological cancer group) in ENGOT-rare tumor group, ENGOT-GCA as well as in GCIG and is in charge of organizing from April 2023 onwards the monthly EURACAN cross-border MDTs on rare gynecological tumors; in sarcomas, she is a young GEIS and EORTC-STBSG researcher, she is the coordinator of the "Young and Early Career Investigators" of the EORTC on sarcomas and was selected in 2022 to carry out an international "mentoring" in sarcomas by the international society of sarcomas (CTOS).
