Physician
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
I am an academic pediatric hematologist/oncologist with a passion for bringing new and novel therapies to
pediatric and adolescent cancer patients. I specialize in pediatric leukemia and lymphoma.
Since becoming a faculty member at MD Anderson Cancer Center, I have had the opportunity to open
clinical and interventional studies in pediatrics. These ongoing trials involve a novel supportive care
medication, novel chemotherapy regimens and non-invasive devices that support patients experiencing
adverse effects from therapy or their disease.
While developing these trials, I played key roles in several manuscripts which are now published papers in
the fields of neuro-oncology, sarcoma, quality improvement, leukemia, lymphoma, and immunotherapy.
The goal of my current research pursuits is to highlight newer therapies in relapsed/refractory
leukemia/lymphoma, prove the feasibility and tolerability of these therapies in this population though new
research trials and protocols and publish/disseminate my findings.
