Postdoctoral fellow
University of Miami
I finished my PhD from Sheila and David Fuente Graduate Program in Cancer Biology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2019 under the mentorship of Dr. Trent. My PhD work was mainly focused on investigating the role of IDH mutations in human chondrosarcomas. I am currently working in Dr. Trent's lab as a postdocteral fellow. My ongoing project is focused on the translational research of identifying therapeutic targets in advanced chondrosarcoma. Our goal is to determine whether IDH1 mutation sensitizes chondrosarcoma cells to the effects of commonly used FDA approved chemotherapeutics and epigenetic modifiers by means of high throughput drug screening platform.
