Xinhua Zhang, M.D，Ph.D, is the Associate Professor of Surgery, Deputy Director of the Unit 3, Center for Gastrointestinal Surgery, First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He has been a visiting scholar at the Dana-Farber Cancer Center and Brigham & Women's Hospital Affiliated to Harvard University. Currently, he serves as a standing member of the Expert Committee on Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor of Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO), Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Specialty Committee on Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor of the Surgical Association of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a standing member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Specialty Committee on Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor of China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), and other domestic academical associations. He is skilled in surgical treatment of gastrointestinal and pancreatic diseases, especially the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and retroperitoneal tumors.
