Dr. Brian Untch is physician scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). He is appointed to the Gastric and Mixed Tumor Service and the Head and Neck Service. He performed his general surgery training and a basic science fellowship at Duke University Medical Center and completed a complex general surgical oncology fellowship at MSKCC. His surgical practice focuses on sarcoma and endocrine/neuroendocrine tumors. in the laboratory he developments cancer models that recapitulate the genetics of human tumors in order to test novel therapies. His work has been funded by the NIH, the American Surgical Association, the American Thyroid Association, and the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons.
