PhD Candidate
LUMC, Netherlands
During my studies in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences, I was drawn towards the subject of tumor biology and how we can use big data to find more suitable targets for treatment. This led me to start my PhD at the Leiden University Medical Center at the Department of Pathology, where the multidisciplinary Leiden Center for Computational Oncology was initiated. In our project, we are generating large, multi-omic datasets for various histologies of sarcoma wherein we are searching for novel biomarkers and opportunities for targeted therapies. My focus within the project lies with the immune microenvironment of the sarcomas and the identification of avenues for immunotherapy.
