Simran Jatar grew up in Houston, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Austin where she studied public health. She then obtained an MPH from UTHealth in Houston and is now a fourth-year medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine. As a pediatric cancer survivor herself, Simran's research interests dive into the survivorship and quality of life of cancer patients. She understands first-hand the impact that oncology research can have on patients' lives and hopes to continue to work on efforts that improve outcomes for her future patients.
