Clear Cell Sarcoma Foundation
Lisa A. Faulkner, BSN, RN is a Clear Cell Sarcoma Foundation Advocate. As a Clear Cell Sarcoma (CCS) survivor herself, Faulkner has first-hand experience with this ultra-rare and highly aggressive cancer. Challenges including misdiagnoses, the lack of any effective treatment or cure, and the difficulty finding an experienced CCS cancer team, have motivated her to improve the overall experience and outcome for other CCS warriors & survivors. Faulkner has combined her more than 40 years of experience as a nurse, which include emergency and critical care, education, registry creation and data entry as well as administrative roles, with a passion to assist the CCS Foundation to identify opportunities that will lead to a treatment or even a cure. She serves as a liaison on behalf of CCS Foundation to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network to obtain the latest CCS related patient care, research and education and share that with the CCS Foundation family. She has also worked to identify opportunities to obtain an ICD10 code for CCS in order to facilitate research.
