Asociate Professor of Medicine
Ohio State University, James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Center
Dr. David Liebner is an Associate Professor at Ohio State University in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology and the Department of Biomedical Informatics. He serves as the Section Lead for Sarcoma in the Division of Medical Oncology and as Associate Director of the Sarcoma Disease Group for the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. My primary research interest is the development of novel approches to -omics and EHR big data analytics to better understand sarcoma biology and improve treatment approaches. I am the PI on an experimental sarcoma registry at the Ohio State University (clinicaltrials.gov/ NCT02677961) which is focused on integrating conventional as well as emerging clinical features (digital histopathology, NGS profiling, liquid biopsies) for the purpose of cohort identification, clinical trial matching, and treatment response modeling. I have also developed algorithms for the purpose of digital cell-sorting in complex tumor tissues as well as computational models capable of describing the evolution of genomic determinants of resistance in oncogene-addicted tumors. My career goals include developing and validating novel clinical tools to evaluate the nuances of cancer biology through computational modeling and evaluation of decision support systems.
