Lee Cranmer MD/PhD/FACP is Professor of Medicine and Director of Sarcoma Oncology at the University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington, USA. His clinical practice addresses all areas of adult sarcoma management. He is also interested in the management of "orphan" skull base and central nervous system tumors, including CNS solitary fibrous tumors, chordomas, chondrosarcomas, esthesioneuroblastomas and atypical meningiomas. He has broad clinical research efforts, including industry-sponsored trials and investigator-initiated trials. Multi-modality trials, particularly in the neoadjuvant setting, combining radiation therapy with novel systemic agents, are a particular area of focus. Statistical analysis of large datasets, data mining, and meta-analysis to answer questions in sarcoma management that are otherwise difficult to explore are another area of his expertise.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Cranmer enjoys time with his family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Swimming, hiking, cooking, German language and culture, 20th Century history, and the repair of vintage Mercedes-Benz automobiles are among his many avocational interests.
